Wow!! the head on collision was brutal. Reminds me of a BMW video we watched during our technical training courses in the 90s. The video was from the 70's and showed the safety belts in action with live test dummies. Cars were wrecking into each other on purpose with in car cameras to show how the drivers were held into place during the various types of wrecks. The best was when the driver took on a very large tree at highway speeds. The car crumpled severely, the windshield went flying, the driver was visibly "out of it" for a couple of minutes. I wondered how much they had to pay the guy. Tad
There are films out there from the Minnesota State Fair, from the late 20's up to WWII, where they crashed EVERYTHING in front of the grandstand for entertainment! I've seen film of head-on's with locomotives & planes crashing into barns they put up! Musta been tough to make a living during the depression.
