I know that harbor freight sells them, I went on their website and cvant find them. Do I have to go to one of their stores? do they not show or sell them on their web site? Does anyone know what their deal is on them? how many do you get for a certain price? I found some on ebay but its a set of 4 for $19.95 and $4.95 fr shipping is that worth it? <!-- / message -->
Why would you want to weld your **** ? , thats just wierd ! I got a set of 8 at harbor freight for $5.99,... they looked just like the ones I got from eastwood,................ maybe a fellow Hamber that is close to a HF can hook you up. I would help you out but I am 800 miles from home at the moment.
yeah, they only sell them in the store. bummer but if theres one around it's worth stopping by if you're in the area.
I got the ones from eastwood for $20 + shipping. But I did hear they are cheaper at harbor freight.....
They are very simple to make...I think their is a an article in the Tech section how to make them....You can make 50+ of them for the price of 4,I made mine from some 1x1 square tubing and some bolts, wing nuts and a some leftover 1/4'' key stock
Here ya go I found the Tech article .just make them your self I made 30 in about 45 min...mine look exactly like the harbor freight ones... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11673&showall=1
I wish I woulda thought of looking in there for that...I just got mine from Eastwood in the mail today and laughed at how simple they are, yet so EXPENSIVE for something I could have made for pennies on the dollar....
I know..... they make a killing of those things...keep your money in your pocket to spend on the hot rod...
I dont know, a set of 8 at harbor freight is only $4.95 . Im just going to get them and try them out.
I needed some when HF was sold out. I picked up a stick of 1" aluminum sq tube, some 1/4-20 screws, wing nuts and a little steel banding off a pallet. It took about 30 minutes to make about 40 for under $10. I'm glad I saved the gas to drive into town.
Hmmmmm.... Me too, I was there around 12 and I can only ***ume you went to the one in Woodbridge. I bought 2 sets though. Can never have enough...
You can make your own, I did after i bought some and found out how easy they are to make. all you need is some 1" box tubing some sheet metal the thickness your working on.a few bolts & wing nuts. square or round stock 1/4 and your good to start making your own.
i thought that was you.... i saw a pic from you at lead east. i was actually wearing a blue h.a.m.b. shirt. you were in line while i was paying, did you notice the guy and his girl making the big scene over the damn bucket for the wishing well that they wanted the manager to take out of the well and sell to him for 10 bucks. they were all winey abotu how he built a well and no one sells the right size bucket and that one is the right size. you had to have noticed. i wanted to kick him in his ***. we were kind of waiting for the big storm yesterday with nothing to do and the wife asked me if i wanted to go to horrible frieght.
I got a set and the work just fine, your in So Ca, there has to be a HF near you, call one up and make sure they have em in stock, and buy em.
