Final getting the chance to show off my lastest freebee find. Picked up this 68 327 engine all apart as well as a new set of 6-70 15`s.Also got my hands on this Eelco Tank for my g***er project. Nothing nicer then freebees. In saying this I was wondering what kind of stuff have you come across over the years for freebees??

My 36 ford radius rods. A local car club member gave them to me. I haven't been into this hobby long, but that's my biggest score so far. I also got my 28 coupe body free, but according to most people, i got took.

  4. On Sunday my ex- brother in law brought me over a perfect set of 57 Caddy hubcaps!! They even have mint centers.

His father had a 57 Caddy decades ago, and for whatever reason kept the hubcaps. They have been sitting on a shelf in his ba*****t since the 60's.

He knows I would appreciate what they are. He has a Factory Five Cobra. So the hubcaps are not his cup of tea. I have been smiling since Sunday morning!!!!!!!

I got a new air compressor today. It's a Kaeser, 10hp mtr/220v, 80 gallon tank. The pump is bad, and I got the drier for it too! HF has the exact one for $149. Whallahh!

The 283 in my A was free. The '66 impala that it was in was so rooted in the ground,we couldn't tow it out,so we torched the mounts and pulled the motor and powerglide where it sat.I also got the steering column and wheel out of the Impals. The 13" aluminum slots on the front were free off a guys old boat trailer. I just pulled a 4 bolt 350 and a th400 out of a step van at work that was going to the crusher.

I got a performer intake and holley carb off a junk 88 chevy truck. My uncle gave me a set of c&m come-a-longs that I have used to pull a lot of motors

My neighbor got me all kinds of stuff when his work went out of business . It included 2 drill presses , 30 rolls of wire, about 5,000 stainless steel nuts and bolts, 2 large fans, some shop carts,an arbor press, a box of drill bits and taps, etc. . The best freebee I have gotten so far is a 7,000 lb Globe auto lift . I thank the guy every time I see him for getting me off my back. Jim in Pa.
