I dont know if the editors of Kar Kulture Delux or the new Old School Rodz read this board but they sure as hell should. I would like to see some of the cars featured the way the "TRUE" American Rodder did it. You know quality pictures and bios of the builder/owner as well as the tech sheet. Not just the "finished" cars either but the works in progress stuff that shows up at the events. I would love an in depth look at that F-1 on page 16 of Old School Rodz.
So editors: you guys listenin? You readin the HAMB? You should be! [IMG]

Yeah, I'm listening and reading. I'm workin' on the windshield deal even as we speak.

The problem with the in-progress photos is that a lot of guys don't take the pics as they're building, or if they do, the quality isn't good enough to see, much less print.

Thanks for the suggestions. By the way, send future ideas directly to me so those other guys who lurk about here won't steal the idea for themselves!

You obviously haven't read "Shop Rag", the magazine of DIY hot rodding.

Shop Rag rocks some ***! I need to get a sub. Boy do I ****.

I got the issue of "Old School Rods" today and the only big complaint I have is that I'd like to see some more full vehicle photos. I'm not sure I would recognize the feature cars if I saw them as a whole in real life. I took it into the ****ter at work and tried to figure out where that six-gun thingamajig was located on JJ's car....maybe I'm missing something. But there was some cool stuff, too..just offering some constructive criticism.

I got OSR a couple days ago. Some stuff was more rockabilly than (what I consider) old school. But some of that is cool the only real complaint I have is the same as Fat***buick. That JJ looks pretty cool but could not really tell cause there was not a shot of the whole car. I would like to see at least one full shot of the feature car. I am not ragging on it just constructive criticism it looked pretty good for a first issue.

My point about "in progress" cars wasnt so much about pictures while under construction but more about "in progress" cars driven to events and such. You see tons of cool cars in event pics but most of them are never given an in depth feature. Shiny cars are ok but I want to see more drivers. The rougher the better.

Sorry, Shop Rag doesn't cover events. Forums like this are a much, much better way to see coverage of events that you might not be able to make it to yourself.

Folks from the HAMB are in the habit of posting event photos immediately following an event. Sometimes the same night!

I got to see a copy of Ol Skool Rodz yesterday and it's a good and interesting magazine. Good effort for issue #1. I sure would like to see a full view shot of the suede 33? Ford pickup though. Keep up the good work Alan. Max

I think everyone is going to have the photo complaint. I hate when something is mentioned in the description of a car, but it's not pictured. Or, like the gas cap on JJ's ride, you can't figure out where it is. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good first effort.
