I've got one at home, I could check the #'s later.
Does it have the cap still on it?
Does it have a window in it for seting the dwell?
If it does, it's a 56 or newer distributor.
They are the ones that use the standard Chev cap.

    well,
going by the series of parts #s you listed it looks like the ones on the metal tag around the housing.the original part number for a 56 olds distributor is 1110857.you will more than likely only find that part numbe in a 56 parts book.the rest will list replacment distributor #'s.same distributor.different number.i also have one here, and thats the number on it.56-58 are listed as the same replacment part number.if it is for a window cap,and has the d style fitting in the bottom of the gear it should work for 49-56 at least.it may be that the replacment distributors are copys of the 57-58's,and have the extra material on the flange.it would probly just stick up alittle from the block.
or use a 394 distributor with a 59-60 oil pump.just wandering alittle.hopfully someone will come on that has just the right year parts book.later,
    eric

the window caps are much different.the advance weights are just under the rotor.like a modern distributor, and they use a modern style points cap verses the stlye with straps.if it has no straps it is the window style.

It dose not have the straps so I got a window cap for it . It fits but the fasteners are not long eough to reach the notches on the dist. Its a wells cap DR976. I'm begining to think maybe its not an olds dist.
