Nothing "rare" as such but a fellow club member picked this 8 ball up at a swap meet while on winter vacation in California.Says he got it off an oldster who says he swiped it as a young 'un way back.Good enough for me as it's on the Essex now.

Idk if this shit is very rare, but we got a 1962 Detroit 4-71 blower on the '35 Ford coupe. The sbc i'm buildin for my 49' Chebbie 1 ton panel has one of the first Edelbrock tunnel rams on it and old edelbrock finned valve covers.

This is probably the rarest for me. I don't know if anyone else has seen these but they were comissioned by Michael May years ago, the original owner of my car. They are sterling silver & numbered on the back. I believe they originally made 39 of them & the one's I've seen are signed on the back. There are copies out there too but not signed or numbered. A friend of mine has one on his car- long before I got the Deuce- so I knew of them. When I got my car, there it was on the dash. So- curiousity got the best of me so I removed it & flipped it over. On the back is Michael May's name & the number "01".
Gets a ton of looks & comments when someone notices it. That's about all I know about it & wish I knew more or even if I have the whole story straight.
I also know Ryan Reed at So-Cal Speed in Pomona has 3 in his desk drawer. All numbered & signed.

    Or- maybe it's nothing & I've been told a whopper.:p

I have a set of long tube and short tube cast iron headers for a FE series motor circa 63 and 64. One set will end up on my convertible the other set I will sell to a ford guy not some little bitch part flipper.

In my truck, I have a pair of now unobtanium turquoise laminated teardrop dash knobs a friend "loaned" me a couple decades ago.
He had these very knobs in his lifted '63 Rivi, IN '63!

Not really 'rare', but at least not something you see everyday, especially not where I live...

Although I'm not sporting it on anything yet, I do have a pretty rare Nicson 3-Pot Side Draft Intake that I plan running on my 235 sooner or later. This thing predates the the side draft intake that Corvettes ran from what I have been told. I have been known to get the wrong information one or twice though. I think it's pretty cool none the less.

I have a blue swirled glass shift knob that I run on my roadster when I know I can watch it. Last year I caught some kids trying to get it off at the fall Wildwood run. To them it was just a souviner, to me it's precious. The knob was my dads. He put it on his 34 Cabrio. about 1939 or '40. My mom, then his girlfriend, kept the car until he returned from the Army. He had his "good luck" knob on every rod he had up until he turned in his license. He kept the knob on his mantle after that. He knew I had an attachment to that knob, being the only one of his offspring with any real hot rod interest, though both my brothers race. One day I walked in the house before he passed and he had a small paper bag on the table for me. He passed the torch. The knob rides with me on every rod I'll own until the State tells me I'm too old. Then I'll find someone deserving.
