    hated to miss the invasion this past week-end but have not
    seen any war birds in a long time so I went to a local air port..

    vintage aircraft are widely accepted here on the hamb... their basically flying hotrods. nice photo!

    sorry, guess that could be miss leading........no, but I could have.... my pocket book was a little thin ..

    I have always wanted to get a pix with my ride next to one..
    I took the pix with my camera and probably did not do it justice, a professional photo guy also took pix, they are suppose to be mailed to me later...

    They were built 30 minutes away in Bridgeport, Ct. and 8-9 of them flew in for a homecoming a few years ago, great looking plane.
     
  11. Good pic, nice airplane and nice car!

    Save your nickels and dimes for a ride in a T-6 or Mustang. Expensive, but you won't be disappointed.

    Im not sure on this but i think the corsair was a single seater...

    Great pic though...what an opportunity for a photo!
     
  16. A few Corsairs have been hacked-up to install a second seat, usually including some blue plexi-gl*** "school bus" type windows to give the p***enger a little view of the outside. Thankfully, most have since been converted back to stock, single seat configuration.

    I went up in a B-17 in May.I use to fly as a radar operator in a Navy P-3.Great experience.
