I was just wondering if anyone else might be going to the Grand Fall Rod Run this week? I am leaving out tomorrow so shoot me a line and let me know what you are driving up there. I will be driving my old GMC just because I can haul my Bicycles around and save my feet. I am LAZY too! HA! Going to haul up some parts as well For Sale. Thanks!
We'll be up there, I'll cruise the strip while the wife and daughter shop. We always spend the night in Gatlinburg though.
never been,went to the shades last week. which one do you like the best,as far as hot rods go.is this one more camaro/chevelle show?if the weather holds off i might try to go up friday nite.
The wife, 2 boys and myself will be there Friday about 5/5:30. Staying at Family Inn West across from the Grand. Only been to Shades twice. Never been to the Grand.
Just got back, seems like they should name it "The Grand Diesel Run". Havent been in a couple years, and shouldve went to Shades of the Past instead! Alot of Tri-Fives and Camaros oh and DIESELS! I would suggest anyone whom plans on attending next year, stay anywhere BUT The Grand Resort Hotel! They had about 40 "first come, first serve" parking spaces,That is unless you wanted to pony up $400 for V.I.P parking! The overflow lot was located four miles away with a shuttle. Un ****ing beleivable! Ill never go back to that establishment. Next year will be Shades of the Past only I beleive.
I have been to both ... in the same year and I have no plans to ever go to the Grand Run again. Almost no pre WWII vehicles ... WAY too many late models ... too many drunks
