Anyone else having problems with Garage Magazine?

I paid for a subscription last year, and never recieved a single issue, so I cancelled it.

They just charged my paypal account for another years subscription, yet I don't even have a customer number with them when I search for it under my name on their site.

I called the number on their website and its coming up as not in service.

Anyone have similar problems with them? I had to dispute the charge.

 

There have been a ton of posts on here about people not getting the rag. I really like the magazine but maybe if they can't get it together they shouldent offer sub's, just wait for it to hit the news stand like I do!.

 

I'd contact Paypal, Im sure it'll be a hassle, but I wouldn't let anyone take my money unauthorized without putting up a fight.

 

I sent an email to Stoner via Garage Magazine earlier this week. No reply yet.
I sent an inquiry to the Distribution Co and this is the reply I got:

Please be advised the publisher also has not set up any schedules or dates yet for the next issue.So unfortunately no issues have been mailed. Thank you for your patience and please continue to wait.

When is the next issue due? On July 22 the website said the new issue was coming soon.

 

i had problems too, i pm'ed stoner on here a couple of times and he took care of it. it is a great magazine

 

I pm'd Stoner and got no response. I've been a dealer and avid customer since DAY 1.

I just got off the phone with Disticor (Garage's Canadian Distributor) and they told me after countless delays and problems getting issues they no longer offer it.

Whats the fuckin deal????

 

i had problems for a year. not a single issue, emailed them and i got 1 issue 2 months later and never recieved another one.....it sucks cause it actually a cool magazine. i guess it will bite em in the ass later.steeling peoples money doesnt get you very far

 

What did the last issue have on the cover,...was it Dita Von Tease?

 

I was gonna subscribe, but i'm glad I didn't. It's disappeared off the shelves around here for months. Too bad - neat magazine.

 

I thought Jesse James bought it out and that was going to solve all these delays and problems? I guess not.

 

I have held off commenting.. but hell it has almost been a year and still not one Garage.. what the hell? I have corresponded with Stoner .. and am in the all set club.. except for one thing.. nothing to show for my 20 dollar paypal expense.. Craptacular!!!

 

There has not been an issue printed this year. Thats what the distribution/subscription co. told me.

 

We're a dealer as well. *crickets...*

 

Maybe everybody's mailmen are hoarding them and reading them...

I sent in my subscription in almost a year ago, they cashed the check, but I still havn't recieved a mag. I love getting ripped off.

 

What I find the most disappointing is there is constant updates on garage.com. However there has been no information on why no further issues have been produced. My subscription is over a year old. I recieved two issues.

 

I get mine!!!!!!!!!! Last one was with Dita on the cover.

You guys must have bad karma, or a gearhead for a postman.

 

You know it seems like there are always plenty of them on the shelves at the stores.

Maybe they ship them all to vendors and then remember that they forgot the subscribers OR maybe they just print 6.8 trillion copies and refuse to print a new issue until all those sell out...

Either way I cannot "bash" them, because it is still a better mag than anything I have ever personally put out.

Sorry you guys have lost your money though.

I just pulled them out ( I have 2 of the same issue because I saw it on the rack first and bought it...then mine came the next day) No date on them. just No17.

The one I have still in the plastic wrapper must be priceless!!!!

 

I had 2 issues due from my first sub when they sold out to JJ PMed stoner and he looked into it I got 1 of the 2 owed. They also took a payment from my bank account for a full year before my 1st sub ran out I haven't gotten any of that sub from over a year ago.I have seen some issues at Barnes & Noble couldn't tell you what ones but I haven't and Won't buy this mag off the stands.I don't expect i'll ever see my second sub or a refund since its been more than a year since it was paid and I've heard nothing
