nice car and thanks for posting the way you did, I love to see projects in progress but I am doing the same thing as you. Saving all the pics till one big post and people can basically see the progress on one page.

Sweet looking car man, you definately quadrupled the value of that Rivi

Thanks for all the positive reply's...

I am really happy how the car turned out. I was really tempted to shave handles/trim/emblems etc, but when I looked at old magazines and pics of stock cars it seemed like the car was already customized from the factory to me, so I just left well enough alone and pretty much just restored the car and put it on air bags and changed the wheels. A really simple formula that turned out great.

haha... the wheels are 15x6 w/ standard offset front and rear. I would have room for a 7" wheel and it might look better w/ a bit more "lip" but these work fine for now

I've considered painting them black since the rears are black, but I used some etching wheel cleaner on them to get them to the natural aluminum color and I really like the way they turned out. I am actually considering using the aluminum drums from the front of my parts car and adapting them on the back. Just to sorta emphasize a unique feature these cars had w/ aluminum drums.

Parts car has pretty well been parted and the carcass has been sold to a guy building a really really rough 65. I am keeping the rolling frame from it and will possibly have the suspension parts available in about a month... PM and remind me in a few weeks.

It really is a no brainer. I was very intimidated to do this with only 2 weeks until my trip, but it was really simple. And works great too... I might have to post a video of how fast the damn thing is... almost too fast w/ the 1/2" airline.
I am however planning on installing a long skinny tank to fit under the package tray area and relocate everything under there and build a bulk head to hide it all when I upholster the trunk. I think i might need an addional compressor too... seems to run quite a bit to keep it filled when you are playing w/ the switches.
I didnt include a pic, but the nice thing w/ this system, is that all my controls/gauges etc, are hidden in my console. Everything is on a single one wire remote digital controler that fits nicely in the console and no ugly guages hanging under the dash etc... You should see the people trying to figure out if it is bagged and how it is sitting so low.

beautiful Rivi!! not overdone, not underdone, just right. the only thing I would add to it is some really subtle silver pinstriping to finish her off:)
