I had one back in the day... Looked great, the valve covers set people to scratching their heads . It ran strong.

Betty has a 1956 Dodge 325 poly. You could pull the poly heads and put hemi heads on the older poly's (same block) Newer polys had a block the LA motors were based on. Cool Engine I agree. Kevin Tully of Hot Rod Ch***is & Cycle built Betty and liked the poly a lot. He has been heard to say "I hate small block chevys"

I am proud of my old poly, it is very tired but just keeps on keepin on. I was so fortunate to purchase a rebuilt 277 from a great guy in the Coffeyville, Ks. Mike Clark. He has a ton of OES parts, a real bargain at $500.00 I hope the new one is as dependable.I am looking for a 4-barrel manifold for the 277, headers source, better dizzy of some sort. Poly is a *****--and I love her!!-Sololobo

For you ignition issues, just convert to Mopar electronic, part number: P3690426. Best electronic package available.

***uming that is the LA 318 dist. electronic upgrade, it"ll fit the 277/318 Polys mentioned earlier, but not the original guy's 325 Poly.

I'm running one. It was going to get replaced with a big block at one time, but then I decided I liked the "oddness" of the poly. [IMG]
