The races at the fairgrounds are the post party. They are gonna run hardtops this year!! Ya real hardtops like 36 fords and 38 plymouths and shit. Hopefully I'm still awake!!!!

ramada's full but the holiday lodge is right across the street and they've got rooms, is it safe to leave the cars out there? i'm wondering why somewhere that is so close has open rooms...
i wouldnt leave my car at the holiday lodge unless there are some others staying with you....even though right across the street, that a whole different part of town....im from antioch so take it from a guy who knows...

Whole different part of town, SHIT I grew up in anti-cock and that whole area is the ghetto no matter what side of the street your on. When I was a kid that used to be the uptown lap of the cruise, you just hoped you didn't break down, cause your shit wouldn't be there when you got back. The section 8 nasty crackhead infested apartments are only like 4 blocks away. just over the RR tracks from the fairgrounds. We are all taking a chance in that nieghborhood. But isn't that what its all about takin chances?
Will they have a section of the race track's parking lot roped off for hot rods to park? I always go to the races after the shows there, but this time I'm driving my recently finished hot rod. I think I'd feel funny leaving it out in that big parking lot during the races. I don't think they allow "ins & outs", so it's not like you can go check on your car every once in a while.
