Event Coverage Show in Austin Sept 13th...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TexasHardcore, Aug 8, 2008.

  1. Posting for my friends,The Kreatures Car Club of Austin is putting on their 2nd "Just Barely" car show this Saturday Sept 13, 2008 at Hill's Cafe on South Congress in Austin, TX.

Last year's event turned out pretty good so this year should prove to be even better!

VENDORS AND BANDS NEEDED. This is a fund raiser show, so we really can't afford much for the bands. However, I'm willing to trade tattoo work, pinstriping and/or art for your band (CD cover art, t-shirt art, posters, flyers, etc) and Norm has offered to trade some light car maintenance as well. We can also hook you up with a beer tab at the venue. We can possibly do some cash in combination with barters. We're looking for Rockabilly, Roots Rock, Honky Tonk, Blues or Western Swing type stuff. You know, hot rod music. Hit me up if you're in a band willing to help out our club.
You can check out my art at www. dartgraphics. com

    Now about the show.....

Open to '65 and earlier TRADITIONAL hot rods, kustoms, trucks and old school bobber bikes.Sorry, but no late model bikes, no "Donk" rides, no pouting baby dolls and no at***udes! Just come and have fun.

Any questions, just contact Dart at 512-366-2504

Wish I could be there. Hills is a real good place, just south of the Continental.

  6. Update: The fundraiser is to help raise money for some deserving kid to go to a automotive technical school or something of the like. Some wild hand-made trophies will be presented to some of the cars, lots of art, and even a freshly rebuilt TH350 Transmission are all part of the raffle so far.

The Bel Air is down for a re-wire after my harness caused a scene that looked like it was straight out of a Cheech and Chong movie... "Wifey, can you see the road?" Will be out to see the rest of you HAMBers...can't wait.
