Ive done a search and cant seem to find what i am looking for. I am wondering if offenhauser ever produced a 2x2 intake for a 241 hemi? How about a single 4 barrel intake by offy? Is there any companies reproducing a 2x2 or 1x4 intake for a baby hemi? I know i can buy a 3x2 intake, but im looking for something different. Thanks.

According to my old Offy catalog they did make a 2x2 intake. Part number is (was) 1186. It looks like it takes four bolt carbs. I don't see a single four barrel manifold listed.

Ive been told that factory made 10% of the baby hemis came with four barrel intakes cast, they put out a few from the factory offy intakes for racing or somthing if you find one of the cast or offy intakes there worth a mint . So they are out there but good luck finding one

I have a mint weiand 4 deuce manifold for the 241/270. It takes 3 bolt carbs. I'll take $650 and ship it at my cost. I bought a 55 Dodge 315 hemi to go under it but it doesn't fit. The hemi is all apart but everything looks real nice. Missing the valley cover and 1 valve cover. You can have both for $1000 if you pick them up. I
'm on Lake Ontario just east ot Rochester NY.

Edmunds made a 2x2 intake... Offy bought them and produced them under there flag.A few years back on this site..... somebody posted a pic from Summit or Jegs.. showing the Offy 2x2 intake still offered for about 300 bucks. An Offy 3x2 is just about everywhere.
Some Hamber here Works for or has a connection with Offy.I remeber the threads...... again...... a search would be involved.

here is my 241 Edmunds I am running on my Red Ram.....

edlebrock also made a single 4 bbl intake for the 241/270 about a year ago there was one one E BAY n.o.s. in the box,,he had it listed a few times till he got what he wanted 900 bucks,, i think i still have all the pics from that auction,,encluding the part number,, thought about calling edlebrock asking if they still have to molds,,there is a market for this intake,,,also wieand made a single 4 bbl intake

also if offy made any thing ,and if its out of production,, if they have the molds they will make it,, i just had a set of offy vale covers made for a small block mopar,,a little pricy,,but i love the look and i like to be different,, factory 4 bbl intakes are hard to come by,,but i lucked out for once in my life, and found one,the guy owed me from a deal gone bad 25 years ago,, it only cost me the shiping price of 13 bucks,,,

Edelbrock 4 barrel is number D0410. Edeldbrock denies they ever made them. Have seen 3-4 over last 5-6 years.
Offenhauser came on Indy pace cars and they made somewhere around 600 or so from what I have seen.

When you say your running 6x2, is it on a 241 or 270 and if so how does it run. I have a 4x2 log that I would like to try. I'll use Stromberg 81s..My engine is almost stock, .30 clean bore, bigger valves, mild cam, pertronixs ignition,
Sanderson Headers. I have 3x2 now with 97s..It like the other two after 1,500 RPMs.. The engine only has about 500 miles on it. The way I figure is 1.5 CFMs per CI..Stromberg 81s are 135 CFM..With the 81s that would be over 500 CFMs. Being a log intake it would have to run all 4 at the same time..
I think to much fuel and not enough air....

Dodge did not make a D500 until 1956 and it was the 315 raised block. In 1957 it was bored to 325 and became a KD500.

Just wondering if any one has seen one like this. Someone sent me this picture. He says it is for a 241, and it is stamped dodge on the bottom, but no other markings. He believes it is an offenhauser, but i dont know. Any thoughts?

I think it is an Edmunds. It looks just like my 4bbl mani. It is stamped 54 Dodge on the bottom. I have an Offy 2 x 2 mani. I ran it before I got the 4 bbl. Engine ran about the same with the 48's but cleaner with the wcfb.

True, though some police cars in 54 seem to have come with offy 4bbl intakes. i bought 2 241's both out of motana state police cars and was surprised to find that one was a offy 4bbl motor. Whether they were like that, or the police upgraded them, i'm not sure.

It's a 241 and still playing with the carbs (jets, foul plugs:D etc) but building a stronger 241 as we speak. I had a 3x2 on her and was looking for more fuel in her so I went to the 6x2. It's a bit too much and with all the miles I have loged on the car its getting tired now and will be getting a new motor(241 as well) soon. I haven't tried the edelbrock 4x2 but have one to play with the new motor. :D
That looks like the 241 but with out the Edmunds carving, it uses the original carb now carbs :D.

Some one's playing in the Dead Threads! A 270 & 241 intakes interchange. Put "Hemi Tech Index" in search & start reading. W/O klicking it, looks like Alpha may be a spammer.

the dodge 241 and 270 are both low deck motors, the intake do interchange, no 241 ever came from the factory with a 4bbl, and only 10% of the 270s came witha 4 bbl, so a iron 4bbl intake is a rare piece, i was lucky to find one my self,,, the 270 heads interchange but the valves on the 270 are bigger then the 241, unles your uping the compression and cam, the bigger valves may hurt your low end performance, if its just a cruiser i wouldnt worry

Both 2x2 and 4 barrel manifolds are still available from offy. Low deck dodge and Plymouth polys are the same as hemis.
