Over here is Wheaton IL we got a hell of alot of rain in the last 15 hours. We got about an inch of water in the ba*****t (unfinished thank god) We planned a big combined birthday party for both our kids. Well that was cancelled!! At least the kids got to have fun in some pretty big puddles!!! Here are some pics down our street!!

No flooding here but it's been raining hard all day today and lighter rain yesterday. First time ever I didn't go to a car event that I had planned because of rain.:(

I live in unincorporated Wayne Township not far from you. Right around North & 59. My property is pretty high but the people in the valley are pumping like crazy. Was going to do yard work today but the rain has me in the garage working on my 53 Merc Motor. It's been stuck along time. I got two more pistons to free up. Going back out there now.

  4. Once again, everywhere else is flooded and sw. Kansas got 5 hundredths. I feel sorry for everybody that got flooded. What a mess to fix.

Well, we have yet to get the worst of the rain - but it's coming. (Thanks Ike) We are encountering some spotty power outages. No work in the garage today because of no power. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I'm really concerned about our friends in south Texas. You guys keep strong.

Perfect day here in Texas. We usually mow our yards while wearing scuba gear anyway.

Biggest swap meet in iowa (greenfield) was practically a rainout friday. Total mud bog today, made for good entertainment but traffic still down heavily.

On the plus side, tons of regular vendors stayed home and thus weren't standing in line for next year's reservations. Got a real nice pair of booths right on the road, think I'll keep em for a decade or so........

  20. A little windy here in Austin, but the boy's in Houston got hit hard from Ike.

All the guys and gals in South Texas are in our thoughts and prayers, regardless of what is happening here, it's not like anything they are experiencing.

Dodged a bullet here! They promised me 12 inches of rain, (which would flood me big time) and got about a inch from the hurricane. Hope you texas cats are 'high and dry' as Bozo at the dunk tank would say.
