to those who helped with the raffle motor
these are the people that made it happen this year......

    Duece Roadster-- cash donation

    BELLM---- cash donation

    TimW--- cash donation

zonkola- finned edelbrock valve covers/weiand intake manifold

suedesled [marty] northwest speed--- 2-94's to 4 barrel adapter

and last but surely not least is

Ahotrod [Glenn] who helps run a "little" [IMG] company called Federal Mogul. Glenn pretty much opened up the doors to said company and told me to look around and see if i needed anything!!! "holy ****"

the following was donated thanks to Ahotrod/Glenn

    champion plugs
    champion wire set
    carter polished fuel pump
    speed pro; oil pump/pump drive/pickup
    felpro complete gasket set
    chromemoly pushrods
    roller tip rocker arms

i am not sure what actual induction system will go on it, i havent found any decent carbs for the adapter that i can get my hands on,

i may put a holley on it and see if Marty wants me to take the adapter to the drags with me and Ryan can raffle it off there?

here are a few pictures as i started mock up and short block ***embly today

    1968 302 block
speed-pro flat tops coated skirted hypereutectic pistons
    289 crank turned 10/10
289 rods reconditioned /resized/ ARP bolts installed
    moly rings
    comp 268h cam and lifters
    289 heads with
    stainless valves/hardened exhaust seats/ comp springs/guide plated/screw in studs/roller tip rockers
    weiand intake
    carb?
    new oil pump
    new fuel pump

i will post a picture when it is completed. i am still waiting on a few parts that are being shipped

any preference on color?, i usually dont do color on motors but the concensus of the idiots that hang around here was i should spray it in the ford light blue.

once again thanks to everybody that helped,/ sent parts / cussed me out on the phone/ and sent funny notes , it was all appreciated

    see ya at the drags............

I want to thank you Fred... Your generosity amazes me and you are appreciated more than I can ever say.

Also gotta thank Glenn for opening the doors to that little hot rod company - Federal Mogul... ARe you kidding me???

Thanks to everyone that did so much to make this happen. I owe all you guys.

And what about Shifts? Another guy that has given so much to make this place run. He is actually building a ****** for the raffle motor this year!!!! Thanks man.

Ohh, the HAMB Drags Drivetrain raffe is going live this weekend... You will be able to buy tickets online.

First thing we gotta do is figure what kinda ****** you guys would want... Might be a poll coming soon!

Racefab, you are so cool to build not only one engine for last year, but to do it again this year. I look forward to meeting you at MO-KAN.

Paint it John Deere green. Nothing runs like a deer. The engine in my Henry-J has been green since 1963.

Thanks for all you have done, McCray

  4. Legends of the HAMB, to be congratulated for all effort and heartach involved.

Thanks for making the HAMB GREAT.

    Cheers,

I agree that you are a RULER and also that it should be Ford Red.

[/ QUOTE ] dont think that hasent been discussed around here [IMG]

after talking to Ryan last night i think we are going to try and find a holley 600 4 barrel for it , one that is in nice shape, let me know if you know where one is Denise and we will buy it.maybe a finned air cleaner to sit on top of it.

Marty has told me i can bring the adapter out to the drags and we can raffle it off as a gate prize, along with a few more goodies possibly.the adapter in the pic was for a small bore 4 barrel and that is why there is a adapter below the adapter, Marty has the other style also, and was going to swap me if we did indeed use it,Check out the guys web sight, he is going to be the place to get Hurst tires.

Glenn........... a i am still speechless!wish you were gonna be at the races here in seattle this weekend

Holly 600 carb is on it's way to your place first thing in the morning. Please PM me with your address.

It's being donated by my Dad, the guy with the billet wheels on his '56 Olds. [IMG] He can be pretty cool once in a while. [IMG]

Definitely paint it Ford Thunderbird Red. That Ford blue noise is for Mustang restorers... [IMG]

I'm probably not alone in wanting to hear any details you care to share as you ****on up this engine. Did you zero-deck the block, and how many cc's do those flat top pistons add?

No need to bother with all those damned raffle tickets. Just send it to me and I'll stick it in the Raunchero.
C4 Auto or a 4 speed on the ******. If it's a 4 speed I'll have to win some clutch linkage stuff somewhere. I've got a clutch pedal, but don't have the stuff down by the frame. [IMG]

Hats off to Racefab and all those who donated to this. I salute you all.

If you decide to go with a stick shift I have a fairlane bell housing I would chip in. Sorry no clutch arm or linkage tho.
I wish I could make it to the drags ( which I presume are in/near Seattle). My best friend lives on the rock (Whidbey Island)
