Well, after an eight week marathon of late nights and long weekends in the shop, I made it to Rhinebeck goodguys. Finally drove it Thursday night and then to Rhinebeck all three days. It was great even though the weather was a little wet. Met many Hamb'rs and talked to alot of great people. My car was chosen for the Traditional Homebuilt Heaven Award which really topped off the weekend. (That's me with the NAPA girl) Many thanks to all that helped me over the last three and a half years with questions, pictures , advice etc. Some that come to mind are Av8_Dave, Bruce Lancaster, NOBILLETA, Flathead Youngin, and many more. Thanks to my Dad for his help and who put up with this project in our garage and a special thanks to Mike Esposito in Glasco, NY, Victor Amato at Chris' Machine Shop in Saugerties, NY , Tam's Model A Parts in M*** and Al F***bender of Kingston NY. I know it will never be done, but it was great to drive it and have some fun with it.

Congrats Mike, well deserved award for a very cool and traditional hotrod and a real good guy. I know you didn't build the car for the tophy's, but it sure does feel good when someone recognizes all of your sacrifice and toil doesn't it.

The award was well deserved. I saw you parked over by the swap meet on Saturday morning and overheard you talking to a friend about just finishing it. I came back later to convince you to move to either the Homebuilt or Suede & Chrome area so I could write you up for one of the two picks from those areas. I was stoked when I saw you'd moved to Homebuilt Heaven.

Way to go on a great car!
