We'll meet at the diner to eat then head to the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey for the 'Fins' show.

I wanted to do something in the Harrisburg area this time, trying to keep with the rotating location idea.

I'm going to miss this one. I need to stay focused on getting my car back together, as I am DETERMINED to make another HAMB and s****ple in 2008. If not October, definitely November. I WILL be driving this thing before the snow flies. :)

I sold my t bucket roadster last week..even though I just built it. I got my hands on an original 30 roadster body and am going to bring it back to life. Had to sell the T bucket to fund another build...It's gonna be sweet though...nice body..cadillac engine!! Looks like I'll be driving my good ol 04 taurus again to this one.

I don't have any good ideas on where, but depending on the location I should be able to make it.

I went to Goodguys Rhinebeck today, and 99% of what I saw was billet, and $10K paint jobs. And they charged $17 to walk in the gate. I vote for somewhere else, although I don't have a suggestion right now. I like PoconoRat's suggestion, altho we would have to see if we can get permission to go in, and if the access road is driveable.

Guys, how about the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey...they are running a "Fins" exhibit..all late 50's cars...we could probably get some food somewhere before hand. Group rate to the museum is $7 a man. Might be a nice afternoon.

    What do ya think?

Hmmm... I may have to take a break from the garage if that's where you guys decide to go. I've always wanted to go check out the AACA museum.

AACA Museum would be cool, but the AACA meet opens just a week and a bit later. How about somewhere more Harrisburgish and maybe some of us north central guys might be able to make the trip?

  15. I plan on attending the Good-Guys show sat and sun. Hopefully my 51 chevy truck will leave with a new owner. After having Denise deliver it to me a month later the apartment complex said it had to go cuz its ugly.

    Jer,
I'm in favor of the AACA museum, and because it's just before the big meet, it should be all shined up, and exhibits updated. I did want to see the Fins exhibit without the crowds that will be there two weeks later. Also, if you are an AACA member, you get in free (new this year) .... and, there's gotta be s****ple around there somewhere ............

I'd recommend the Ranch House Restaurant in Duncanon where 32 meets 11/15. Good food, big lot and a bit more inclusive for the central PA boys and girls. You can find them on-line.

How about the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum by the Reading airport.
Or the new Transportation museum in Allentown?

    Any place works for me!

I'll be away that weekend, but for next month, keep in mind that there are two events coming up that are worthwhile. They're on the east end of our roaming area. The first is the Vargo Dragway Reunion, in Perkasie, PA, which is on 11/1 & the second is the Riegelsville Fall Roll-Out in Riegelsville, PA, on 11/2. I was at both last year & they were very decent. I'd favor the Riegelville one, because it has a good flea market & there were a number of Hambers there, mostly from NJ (since it's right on the Delaware river). Check out the road atlas for locations.

I think I am going to head up. Been taking the Buick out on local trips working through the bugs. I was up at Macungie last month but missed the 12 noon meeting time. Looking forward to this one.
