PhotoChop Challenge: Dodge A-100, Ford Econoline

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mike Zenor, May 12, 2005.

  1. Curious... anybody here ever do a project with a cab-over/forward control pickup, namely a Dodge A-100 or Ford E-series? I know they probably push the limit of HAMBness age-wise, but I've always thought these could make a great project for a flake-slathered 60s show kustom...

Not talking about a Little Red Wagon clone drag wagon, but something along the lines of the Bradley's Deora...

    http://www.shorey.net/Auto/American/Chrysler/Dodge/Deora/deora.jpg

... lowered, flaked/pearled, bar grill treatment, maybe even chopped; but, unlike the Deora, something actually streetable. Let's see your ideas!

  2. A feeble attempt at a PhotoShop. Kinda' neat just sectioned and lowered w/ out a chop.

  9. Is that the art of Dan Pic***o? You need 3 things to do work like that. The first is talent and the other two are also talent.

Let's throw the infamous Corvan Briarwood and Rampside pickup into this discusion.

I'm thinking 60's custom. 4 inch chop wild purple w/scallops, radirs, ww's slicks in back, cream tuck n' roll toneau cover and interior. AND A BLOWN SLANT SIX! I have always wanted on of these! -stick

Here is another pic to work with. This one came to our car show in 2003. My Dad had a 66 A-100 for a while. Had a 440 in it... did good donuts! Radiator was up against the seat. It had heated seats! Painted it pee green. Anyhow... chop away.

    Dodge A-100 part II

  23. I've got a fairly decent '67 Dodge A-100 van that would be perfect for a project like this, and you can have it pretty cheap too! David

I think it would look cleaner if the cab was sectioned till the bottom of the windows was level with the bed rail.

  25. Much better.
The top cops without this sectioning....look NASTY.
