I'm NOT talking about a Camaro subframe job on a fenderless pickup. But is there any acception with old independent suspension??

Basically I've got a '51 Plymouth I'm parting out and s****ing the worthless body and thought bout keeping the frame. They have a nice suspension, sway bar, disc brake available and swing pedals already. Didn't know if it may possibly be an exception cause it has odd looking control arms and king pins. I'm not picky about fenderless or not, just seemed like a grey area when I got thinking about it.

Or is it still Taboo since its not a staight axle??

just no. There is a 99.99999999% chance its not going to be aesthetically pleasing. And even if it pull it off where it looks pretty clean, it will look 100% street rod.

Ya thats pretty much the response I expected. Not saying I'm trying to convince anyone on it, just looking for an explination of it.

I know its not traditional and all and completely understand the modern suspension being out of the question. Just thinking on the next project and just had a Q.

52Pickup now that you mention street rod look I see what your saying.

SSSoooo is it ok if its covered with fenders and can't see anything????
