    Hey KIRK,
Not to derail this thread, but...

What are the facts on this rumor I heard at Rhinebeck several times over the weekend about GG's actually dropping the Rhinebeck event next year? The only alternative will be your Pocono event in the north east in the fall? I heard several reasons and versions why your dropping Rhinebeck, but usually where there's smoke, there's fire!

Hotel rooms are tough to come by, so any heads up would be great so reservations can be made.

Yeah, I heard it a lot too. Not true. There were 2009 sign-up sheets there.

So we can count on your word that there's no talk at the GG's camp about dropping it...and not have to make alternate reservations and plans for Pocono?

If there has been any, I haven't heard it. I sure don't think it's going anywhere after 17 years.

Sorry to put you on the spot, KIRK...there's a lot of us that really enjoy this show. Just like everything else in this world, Rhinebeck is always morphing and changing, but there's still a lot of GREAT hot rods and customs that come.
If anything comes up, please be sure your input to the GG's powers-that-be is positive to keep the show.
    Thanks

Wow that's nice to say, thank you. You were probly not as bummed as I when I saw it stopped raining. But I had alot fun. Great bunch of poeple up on hot rod hill too.

I agree with you about toughing it out. I also just finished it and I haven't really drivin far in the rain with it either. I just decided to play it safe.

Ok I guess I over reacted. I will try to never get pissed again..I could only go for one day due to travel for work, so Friday was my day. The fun for me was the drive down anyway. $60 bucks was a little steep for me to only stay for a few hours. I got mad at the show when I should have just shrugged off that woman. I think a day p*** would be nice though..maybe $30, or $35. And sorry for talking **** about your fancy pants Rig. I'm just jelous

Hey Keith, cool seein you pullin the camper. My Roadster has had the top on twice in the last nine years and all for about 50 miles, lol! My wifes roadster has no top, nor does my Hallocked 29 project... real Hot Rods don't have radials, plastic bodies or Magnum Axles, they have mordrops!

    Thanks, KIRK.

Haha...I couldn't believe how many of you hard core roadster people I saw out cruisin Friday night in the rain. It didn't stop that big *** grins you had for a second!
Yea, that was the farthest I've towed the camper with the '37 and it rolled with the traffic great all the way out and back!:D
Me and my wife had a ball camping at the show, so I think we'll be doing it again. I'll tell you, it was a gazillion times better than staying in the Holiday Inn that we used to before the horse people took over!!
