My Grandfather used to race with one of his buddys and they had a few cars though the Years and we have been told that one of them is in an old Junk Yard in St Charles Area. Another Freind of theres found one of them a few years back and restored it and said that he found another one of them in St Charles Mo area and would not tell us where it was because when he was finished restoreing that one he was going to buy it to. We'll now he his dead and all his kids know is that it was in an old Junkyard in the back 40 It would have been a Model A/32/late 30s or early 40s coupe as thta is what all the cars were, Would either have a number 6 or 66 on it. This picture has three of the cars in it one is on the back stretch and the other two are setting right in front of each other on the straight away
there's not too many old yards around here, but i'll ask a few questions of people that may know and see what comes up. i will not say that i'm looking for an old race car though.
this is not st. charles speedway but ibelieve the junk yard is are was a residence it was a guys personal collection of racecars and junk he actualy had a wrecked allison torino 1973 and i also seen the model a modified on the open trailer st. charles perswaded this guy to leave because of his personal collection of so called junk st. charles ****s
