The car looks and sound awesome, great job. Try "Rally America" for the hubcaps. They are an alliance vendor here. I'm pretty sure they can hook you up.

  6. Pete, I'm wondering if your wheels are Ford? I have a pair exactly like yours, from what I've come up with... mine are not. But I'm no expert. 16" artillary wheels with the 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern are uncommon I was told, and I belived mine to be chrysler...I think....can't rememebr actually what I was told now. I've tried all Ford caps with no perfect fits. My rims are now on a customers car as I opted for another set up for my 32.

My plan if I kept them was to just take a cut off wheel gap outta the back of a cap and reweld, Ford caps are just off a little bit. Or take down the inside lip on the rim... probable easier. My customer decided to run no caps, which I think looks cool.

Your car is sick, nice job.

In 1935, MATFORD, sell cars in europe, and matford was really close to ford axept engine and small things, as wheels, artillery wheels was from ford for europe in 1935.

I can tell you because if you check the pics, it's my friend 32 with the same wheels, his wheels come from a 1935 matford full stock....

  8. I ran into a similar problem with the steelies on my 31.
They're the ten lughole wheels sold by the aftermarket.
Mine came from Wheels of Steel in Visalia, California and I'm fairly sure the Vintique and other wheels are the same.

Stock size re-pro Ford hubcaps from Bob Drake - 48 Ford - didn't fit.
Too large by a touch if I remember right.

The re-pro Ford hubcaps from Wheels of Steel - 48 Ford - fit just fine.

    May work for you.

  9. Nicely done.

Terrific color, I can't decide if it's a root beer brown or a maroon.

    Are ya gonna tell us?

I live in Europe to, and bought a model A with wheels like that.
From the paper work on the model-A they were fitted to the car in 1958... no hubcaps thou - so I listen carefully to all of you ;-)
