History 4 valve flathead motor

Had to share here. I believe I saw a Pierce arrow on it somewhere.

"dual valve six" seems to be a good keyword for search engines. It is in fact a Piece Arrow. The inline sixes were first made in 1918. Model 66's were massive 800+ cubic inch motors with around 100hp.

the ignition is cool, it is set up to fire both plugs for better performance and fuel economy. It can also be switched to only fire one plug. Google book search brings up a lot of old reference manuals. This link talks about the ignition system.
