Awesome!..If anyone hasn't bought the new album..DO IT!!I am so happy they went back to the more heavy style they are known for

 

they played the whole disk the night it came out on the local rock station i thought it was ok but mostly sounded like cast offs from the black album. come on unforgiven iii

The point is that the Beatniks got some air time on RS, tho a shitty rag at best, that ink brought the quality of the mag up 114%. The fact that James is a car guy and one of us is pretty cool. Several of his fellow Beatniks are HAMBers as well. Good for them!

I gotta say in my opinion the new album is the best one they have put out since And Justice For All.... ! I had my doughts about the album . figured it would be another St. Anger. Dang i was wrong ! Alternitive? Shoot alot of the songs are pretty friggin thrash man! not all of them but alot. Much respect to all of them

 

Met James at the last Mooneyes at the Academy. Just said hi...he said nice Shoebox. Left him alone,while other people tried to get his autograph. Love the new album. Better than alot of shit that's out there.

 

Listened to it today...great grinding music.

Death Magnetic is a very good album, Metallica did, does and always will rock.

 

people that know me personally, know i'm not a heavy metal guy,....BUT! the new ALBUM is the shit!!!! real "TRADITIONAL" metallica 80's guitar solo/drum solo stuff...

 

Kirk Hammett seems to be the rational one in group. Gave up on them since that Black album. It funny that Kurt Cobain said it took them the same amount of time to record "Smells Lile..." compared to Metallica choosing the art work/cover for the album "Black" (hahahahaaa!!!!). I thought Angst was their getting back to their "Roots" album? Anyways there's still hope, we need RnR back in the front seat!

I think Rob actually had a lot of push on this album. I believe Rick Rubin who produced the album along with Rob helped wake them up and bring back the BEAST that is Metallica. and to make this post even more HAMB worthy...not only is the Beatnik tattoo on James, but the tattoo artist that did it was no other that the HAMB's own "Artist at Large" Dennis McPhail!


...I definitely suggest to go get the album its great.
