Hey guys, I was told to introduce myself or expect an *** beating. I'm Danny, I'm from Euless, TX, and I don't have any cars at all right now. But I may be getting a '61 Valiant soon and a straight axle to put under it. The best thing about Mopars is no one gets pissed when you put an oddball engine in it, so let me know if you have something that matches that criteria and you're in the DFW area. I haven't had much that would interest most of you, but I did have a 383-powered '66 Charger, a 460'd '87 Thunderbird, and a hot rod small block '80 Mustang. As you can tell, I like em ugly and unkool. Traditional stuff has always been where it's at for me, I just never had the balls or money to play. G***ers and '34-older rat rods are my personal favorites. Say Hi to the new guy, and take it easy on me.
Having a little trouble posting and searching in the Tech forum. Anyone know a good resource that discusses straight axle swaps? Thanks in advance
There was one awhile back. Go to the search function and type in "Hamb Gas" then change the time frame around until something pops up. I think it was back at the end of March/early April.
Welcome Danny! Straight axle stuff is really hot now. Show some pics, when you get a chance. We'll help you on the road in no time. Glenn
Good Job on the intro, and G***ers / Altereds are my kind of ****. ..... I also have a long post on G***ers on here too. AHotRod
Hey welcome from another newby. I live just over the hill in Van. PM me and we can get together sometime.
[ QUOTE ] The best thing about Mopars is no one gets pissed when you put an oddball engine in it, [/ QUOTE ] Well except the MOPAR bunch. I personally couldn't imagine the 300 with a Cad mill in it. OK there's your *** beatin' Welcome friend no time like the present to swing over to the dark side. The PknBner
Hey thanks alot for the hellos, it's good to know that some traditional types are still out there. Okay, I'll ask. What the hell does HAMB stand for? I'm sure it's something obvious. Also, here's a picture of my two latest projects, a '58 Belvedere and a model A pickup. It'd be easy to chop, but I think I'll leave it alone - looks kinda kool that way. It's been channeled.. and that's about it so far. It's going to get a P-40esque Flying Tiger coming off the cowl and into the doors. It's amazing the time you can waste with boredom.
Welcome to the HAMB. Put a flathead in it, my wife has a good 50 Ford 6cyl engine & 3spd to sell, she will make you a deal, our son who lives in Carrollton can deliver it!
