16th lonestar nationals whos going

I know its still a few weeks away, but it will be our first major show with the van.

Also we didnt pre-register is that going to be a issue? Does everyone just usually show up anyway?

I think we are just going to come in really early saturday morning hope alot of you guys make it out

 

ive gone the last three years. but havent put a car in . let me know and we can follow one another im the guy that lives right by you. And my power hasnt came on yet either

 

wow mine came on friday evening at 7pm exactly one week after it went out. I think we are going to roll up friday evening

 

Looks like I'll be a vendor there.

 

I don't have anything to drive in, so I'll take something to the swapmeet (probably the Panhead) just so I won't have to walk in. Yep, I'm getting that lazy.

There are several motels within 10 miles of the track ..

North there is Denton, Texas ..and south stay around the western center blvd area ..Although there is a Hampton Inn less than 5 miles away to the south

Looking at the website, what's a "special parking area"? If I bring my Ranchero do I not have to park way out in the boonies? I would have been happy to register for the show if I hadn't been snoozing at the wheel, but I'd still like to take the truck there.

Pre-entry saves you some time but, you go to same spot to get p***es
either way

special parking is like "Home built heaven" , "Suede and chrome" , etc
You can park anywhere you like really ( unless some SOB has a lawn chair in your way)

I haven't seen a post, but was going to mention it. I figured it would interfere with the get together at Murry Custom Rods Friday evening. Didn't the Babe's gathering happen on Friday last year as well? It was a fun a evening of eating and bs-ing.

 

Oh, the site says online registration closes the 19th, I didn't realize I could do it in person.

How is roll in organized? Come and go as you please, or are you in for the day and have to be there before gates close?

Yeah, more or less..come anytime, leave anytime ...
most leave by 5-6:00 pm ..Saturday evening they let you run the track for a fee and that does not end till around 7:30 or so

I thought that was free....or there's a voucher in the registration pack for it. I don't remember paying anything extra last year.

Don't forget about the autocross Friday and Saturday.....I'm taking the modified around the course Saturday morning!

The Autocross and the track cruise are both part of the event and don't cost any extra.

Babe's on Saturday works for me. Hell, anytime, any day at Babe's woks for me. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!
