Hows it goin? I just started to post, but have been a member for some time. I just recently sold my VW's and bought a 54 chevy sedan with a stock 235 and stock powerglide. Im not lookin for a major hot rod, just a cool ass driver. In the past I have owned a 1974 Checker Marathon thats it for American Metal.

checkers were made in my hometown, kalamazoo michigan..the factory is still open and makes some kind of suspension stuff for cars i think..in the old showroom you can see a few old checkers in there.you can see an old track next to it with a bunch of old checkers rusting out..its pretty cool.not far away is the old gibson guitar factory too

I loved my checker. It was givin to me by my step dad as a first car. It was one of those "get it running and its yours" kind of deal. It was the coolest car cause no one new what it was. It had a chevy 350 and a turbo 400. I only got rid of it cause I wanted to get a fast car. Not to mention I was young and didnt know how to weld and fix body panels. Anyway, thanks for the welcome.
