    hurry before he sobers up!

  4. If I'm understanding your French correctly, you seem to be wanting to sell whichever one you have. I'd guess the Ford would sell easier than the Pimpala, so yeah, the Ford.

If you were going to keep it, yeah, the Ford.

How about putting both up for sale (each with its own price) in the same ad to generate hype? If the Pimpala sells, no trade, if the Ford sells, trade.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

    Do the trade.
    Chop,Bag and re-paint the '50.
Granted there are a lot of Shoebox Fords around, but they can be customized many different ways.
How many '63 Impalas have been customized and still not look like a Lowrider?
I appreciate the work that goes into a well constructed LR,
(I live is San Jose which is LR heaven),it's just that with a '63 it's hard to escape that.

If it looked like these two it would be a keeper, but I don't want another project

    I'd keep the Impala...BUT, i'm very partial to 63's...
HOWEVER...resale, the shoebox will probably be an easier sell..

There's been a couple time's in the past few month's i've thought of actually buying your 63..i miss my last one BAD. But the money just isn't there for me at this point..

    Best of luck

How about your bud selling his car and then buying yours..... It would keep you from having to switch ***les around so much. Just a thought.

If youre trying to get the most money out of the deal I would do the trade. Easier to sell and will bring more cash. Im not sure how much the shoebox would sell for nowadays, but the impala would maybe get you 8k on a good day? Im pretty sure the shoebox would get more than that on its worst day.

  22. If its easier to sell, why isn't he selling it and buying yours?

I'm in Canada, Ottawa to be exact. Musclecar, mullet heaven. Shoebox's aren't really desireable around these parts, and the guy is a mechanic, knows nothing about computers to list it anywhere else. He doesn't want to get rid of it, he just made me the offer. If I say no, he'll keep the shoebox.

    Whats wrong with the bumpers!?

  25. Dumb*** picture viewers maybe.

I'm surprised the Impala is a hard sell, I had a POS '65 and sold it in 7 days. Granted I paid $100 for it and didn't care what I got over $200, but still. The shoebox woodie I had took 3 years to sell at any price, the shoebox convertible I have has had no bites in 2 years, and you'd be hard pressed to get me to take another one in any condition. But they're rough, too, so it's hard to compare to a driver.

If your goal is to scare up some cash to move with, and not have to transport a car, the only logical choice is to swap - your car goes to someone who wants it, and you get something you have an easier time selling. It looks a little prettier and should satisfy the instant gratification people who can't handle having to fix something on a car before they drive it.
