What kinda Yardage is needed to do the Interior of a 28 Tudor? Small sportscar buckets, rear bench, door panels, headliner? And how much w/o the headliner? Mild pleated pattern. I have 10 yards of some nice stuff I got in a trade years ago with Skipstich. May influence the Tudor. Or, may save it for the 29 Closed cab pickup. TIA, Trent
10 yards probably not enough to do all you have listed as wanting to do. especially if you are wanting to pleat for pattern. save it for the truck!
What is a ballpark amount he would need. I have one I am working on as well and at some point will need to order material. Mine will have small buckets up front and a dodge mini van middle seat in the rear.
I was thinking if I did not do the headliner I would be close? Def should be enough for the truck if needed.
Ball Park Rule of Thumb: Bucket seats 3 1/2 yds per seat, or 7 yds Rear seat 4 1/2 yds, Kick panels, door and quarter panels,& headliner 7 yds Total for sedan 18 1/2 yds. Pickups take 7 yds plus seat yardage. Hope this helps. Kevin
I would be less than those rear seat numbers but still would run too short! Looks like I hang onto this stuff a little longer. Was originally going to use it in the touring and never got aroundtuit. Looks like the PU will be black with a red interior? Thanks.
It's always hard to how much material's needed, especially when you have some cool old stuff you really want to use. If I end up using OEM materials that I know I can't get any more of, I only use them for the accents, ie the inserts on the seats door panels and other items that stick out. And then on the bulk areas I usually go with something that is readily availible from a supplier. That way you can kind of fudge it if need be. It always ****s when you are doing this awesome interior out of old **** and run out in the last 3 or 4 yards. Then you have to decide whether to mismatch or spend you life savings with SMS in order to fix it ( if thats even an option).
Thats why I am looking into this NOW. This is newer material but I think it will look best and fit the pickup better. I think this Tudor will stay with my first choice of black interior.
