I started a post a few weeks ago about a KC event and here is the update with a cool event poster.

REV EM & ROLL Reliability Run & Meet

It is all happening on September 27, 2008. All the details are on the poster.

The reliability run route is not yet finalized. I am still looking for a Hamb member's garage/shop as one of the stops.

In order to get feel for how many folks plan on attending, please send a PM or reply to the post.

Special thanks to Chop Tops and The Rumblejetts.

If you guys haven't been to Chop Tops, you have to check them out.

If you have not heard Rumblejetts yet, you have been missing out.

I keep seeing great events around the KC area and I think, wow thats a month or so away, I'll get my chev sorted enough to take to that event and then whoa, its been and gone. This looks like another good one and a (realistic) target/motivator for me to finally attend something...

I was sorry that I missed last years run..... Herb Emailed me a copy of the poster so I started to make hotel reservations. I'm on a waiting list but do you have a suggestion where to stay? Do you need any help?

Any way count me in and I'll work on some of the other kats.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Yes it does sound like fun! I'd like to make it down to KC for this, also. Jeff, you may just get to see the Rumblejetts in Omaha the weekend before this. ;):D

Because of the $hitty weather we are having today, i'd thought let everyone know this is a rain or shine event. If i decide to drive my roadster that day, it is guaranteed to rain. So for everyone's sake, I'll drive the '49.

Its just a few days away and now i have to work saturday. I have to figure out a way to leave early.

The route is finalized. Thanks to everyone who offered up their shop. If we didn't get to yours this year, there will be another Rev Em & Roll next year. The route stays on the north, central, and west side of KC area. Maybe next time we'll hit the east and south side.

For those with tiny tanks, the route is 80 miles, about 2.5 hours of driving, and 3 stops not including Chop Tops. Maps/Directions will be provided at T&A Flathead's.

For those folks with the other kind of tiny tank (but it may apply to those with big tanks too), I plan on grill'n some hot dogs, etc. So feel free to get here early, but not too early.

The plan is to leave T&A Flathead's at Noon. If you're late, I will leave the directions under a rock by the walk out door by the shop.

The best directions to T&A Flathead's is by using MapQuest, but you can call if you get lost.

    See you saturday.

Pete is struggling to get back into town in time to play. However, Cilla worked her magic and has put together different good entertainment. Jim and Judd from the Rumblejetts will be sitting in on a set or two also. It is still promised to be a good time.

Yep, it's true, Pete is working in Chicago. He will be comuting back & forth but he isn't able to get back in time for this grand event. Sooooooo, Julie Majors & Her Miss Minors have kindly agreed to save the day. We are still gonna have a barn burner of a good time!
Let's face it The Rumblejetts really aren't that good????

I made it to the reliability run and even made it back home :D A cool event, people and cars. Thanks to Tim for organising it. I think I came closest to testing the reliability side of things with some little issues, but no show stoppers. Here are some more pics.

Anyone got more pics of that 46 Ford sedan? I would like a few for myself. Or anyone know what is under it for suspension?

    Thanks
