Since I put the top on the car really took on an earlier look, now I just have to figure out the right wheel color, or different wheels and tires all togeather.
Very tasteful roadster. I for one, really appreciate the the traditional 4o's high boy treatment, as opposed to the severely channelled style that's so popular today.
I didnt know Fred but had sold him a part on ebay, well i got an email from his wife saying that he had p***ed away, and wanted a pic of the part i sold him so she could locate it. he had a *****en 40 coupe too, RIP Fred. JEFF
i agree with what you are saying, but remember that in 1947 a 1930 model a was only 17 years old and probably still had a presentable factory paint job. dan
Ron, I'd say that "you've been making rasberry jam out of pig ****" aka "silk purse out of a sow's ear". I made my coupe body out of parts of 13 different model A's, so I know what its like to take on a huge project. well done on your project. Looking good. .
Thanks for the comments! Here is a pic with different wheels and no hood. I don't like it this way as much, but I wanted to see how it would look.
I liked it before with the Kelseys...but I love it with the solids! I guess we all have different ideas of the perfect traditional hot rod...and for me, this is it.
myke, I could go either way on the wheels as I like both of them equally on your car, but as for the hood there is no doubt. KEEP IT ON!
I don't think most rodder's here think that.......maybe pre-'66 or so. Some of the best/coolest/whatever Deuces were late '50's-early 60's..... And pretty much any Deuce thread here is FULL of traditional deuce's......rarely does one post street rods here. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145522 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=259812 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145882
