V8 Swap on 53 Cheby....What exhaust manifolds should I use.?

Hey Guys & Gals need you guys is help I wanted to know what type of manifolds do I need to run on the 53 its got stock suspension with the gear box in drivers side in the way any ides.they had tols me that 55 chevy manifolds with drivers front dump would work anyone got any laying around.

ijust helped my buddy put a s/b in his 53 here at my shop.he got one of those 55 manifolds .it didnt work.luckily i had stacks of manifolds lyin around and i got one of them to work. i think it was mid 80s station wagon. i will try to get a pic for you soon so u can match it up..your gonna have to be pretty crafty with the pipe bender iether way

 

Sharky, Are you using a stock frame or have you put in a subframe. I donated my 69 camaro front frame and used long headers with no trouble at all. The sub fram has the front steering in it.

Im useing my stock suspension My sterring box is in the way on the drivers side.I had heard about those sanderson headers but there out of my way $375 or something like that thats alot off MULA.....not planning to keep that stock suspension for long..I had 55 chevy manifolds in the trunk of the wifes falcon let my Bro Nlaw barrow the car for couple weeks durring that process I had to replace a water pump,tail lights....And then the manifold splits in half he parks it in the street and couple days later they tow it away and he never took it out the the Falcon was smashed with my 55 manifolds,lowering blocks & a couple of nick nack stuff in the truck.....NEVER I SAY NEVER LET ANYONE BARROW YOUR CARS>>>I LEARNED THE HARD WAY>>AND NOW IM PAYINF>>LOL>>>THANKS GUYS>>>SHARKY666....VIVA LA H.A.M.B!

Rear dump 350 manifold work fine. I did a little trimming to what was left of the firewall rib on the drivers side. When I redo the car I am pulling the ribs off completely and cleaning up the firewall.
