40 ford backing plates

Tried searching for this but are the rear backing plates the sames as front except for emergency brake cable tube? Can I use rears in front and weld up emergency hole?

i would have to say no,they won't interchange....richie

 

mine look the same.

 

same dia. hole in the center?

 

Front and rear backing plates are identical, with the exception of the E,brake cable tube. Weld them up and go for it.
