So this disc brake swap is going on my truck. One of the bolts to hold the brass block on the brake hose to the caliper is bogus.Consequently,I have a leak at the bolt/washer-to-hose block.
They're next to impossible to find around here? None of the parts houses have them, been to three junkyards and no other gearheads in the area have any.
Are 68-72 Nova banjo bolts the same as Camaro,Ventura....of the same era?
Anyone know if a newer bolt would work?

We suspect the copper washers and have tried different ones.Still leaking.

maybe try a hose with a straight end that screws directly into the caliper? ditch the banlo bolt .thats what i did on my lincoln rear disc.

    from SO.FLO.

Check big truck hydrolics hose places they have them...also make sure you have the copper washers on the banjo hose end.

Thanks for the help fellas.I should've stated that the Nova Sub is grafted to my 47 truck.
    This is on topic..

We're suspecting the copper washers aren't crimping enough to prevent the leak. There aren't any indents in the washers when we tighten the bolt home and maybe that's the culprit?
    Everything else is okay.
Murphy's law is apparent on this job!

  5. i have gotten banjo bolts at Napa , not sure about your problem...but bring your stuff in and they should be able to match it up

as far as i know , they are available in 3/8-24 , 7/16-20 , and 10 mm threads...and there are different lengths too

I checked the local NAPA,the ol' boy there has a lot on the game and couldn't find any matches.Similarly at another parts house that I figured would be able to pull up a result-they had short bolts in the "HELP" selection and tried to order a pair in that ended up as the "HELPERS."
I'll try a big truck place near here Monday. My truck is riding a friends garage lift and I hate to tie it up.

    Thanks for your help!

Not really fit to the HAMB but when I put disc brakes from a 75 f150 on my 65 f100 I couldn't find banjo bolts anywhere. I ended up finding some at the local Harley dealership, worked perfect. Hope it helps.

Is there a way to show the respective bolt on the NAPA page?

had a similar problem when putting discs on a 40--the banjo actually hit at the edge before it was flush with the washer and leaked--filed it a liitle(spot on caliper) and no more leaks--also bought some thicker copper washers at NAPA and put them on the caliper side of the banjo
