Has anyone ever seen a manual trans aluminum bell housing that has both chevy and BOP bolt patterns? I have seen the automatic universal cases but never a universal bell until now

I'v never seen an aluminum one, only an aftermarket steel unit that was drilled for both Chevy and BOP, but yes, they most certainly do exist.

Yes that is a Chevy and B.O.P. pattern. I have one just like it in my 39. I Don't know what it came out of.

buick-olds-pontiac (and cadillac). In other words, not chevy.

the BOP bellhousing bolt pattern was used starting in 64 on some BOPC cars, and on all by 67

using google shows someone lists this bellhousing application:

    1982 V8 F body (casting 14037657; Figure 5-7) for 153-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet/BOP; use with clutch fork: GM 14037647
