looks good, but it will be a totally different story the further you go with the welding

just dont weld to much at a time, cool your welds with an air blower and iron it out when welding dont weld from the outside in start at the center and go side to side working your way out...

    you will .:D:D:D

everwhere you weld will shrink, if you can reach it from the back you can stretch it, if you can`t its going to need a touch of filler.

  8. You will do better if you clean all that rust off the areas to weld. Iron Oxide does really funky **** to you welds...........seriously, are you working in a sal****er tank?

That's what I was wondering. Even the patches are rusty! Take care of the rust FIRST, then patch it, especially if you ever plan to try to paint it.

Constructive critisism...your placement of the panels looks good...gaps look a little tight in some spots but that may be the photo...

BUT the purpose of a patch is to eliminate the rust...plus you'll be surprised at how well the flippen thing welds when its clean...get yourself some 3m pads and strip it prior to welding...that and coat everything when your done to inhibit further rusting...inside and out
