Ever since I saw one in 1961, I wanted one. Americas first factory Hot Rod, they ran in the first Indy 500, fastest thing on the road at the time, and still a thrill for those lucky to have one, the 1911-14 Mercer Raceabout.
1941 Willys Americar coupe,a REAL one,Olds rear,nose high and a blown 392 Hemi/4 speed,Halibrands tilt gl*** front end,painted like Big John Mazmanians was,Nuff Said!!
the only car i seem to like or want is one that i don't owen. once i owen it i dont care and start looking for the next one.i had always wanted a porsche 550 spyder or a 906 . i bought a 550 and raced a good friends 906 i sold the 550 4 months after buying it and did not think twice. a dream car is just that a dream. you can build it up in your mind to be the best thing in the world but when you owen it it just becomes it's owen set of problems or just not what you had dreamed about.
[ QUOTE ] (Gotta dig the Lancia Stratos btw; the closest thing to a Apache chopper on the road... ) [/ QUOTE ] Thanks Sailor, I still get wood over that car sliding sideways at a hunnert, imagine if Group S had ever happened.... Dang!!

I am not looking for anything anymore, I am happy with what I've got. But with a unlimited budged and Jim Hall's help, I would be fun to own Chaparral 2H, and throw it back into the CanAm wars. That car got let down by John Surtees, and it deserved better... Ah hell, I'd be thrilled just to sit in it once... Or the Chrisman Coupe, because it is so perfect. Or the Art Alfons Green Monster. Or TV Ivo's 4 Engine Dragster. Or a Lotus 72B. Or....
1937 Bugatti T57 SC Atlantic. . I'm sure it's a fussy, demanding car to drive, but hey, sometimes the high-maintance ones are worth it!
[ QUOTE ] 1966 2-dr, 427ci, 4-spd Biscayne!!! [/ QUOTE ] I was in a shop a couple weeks ago that was doing a frame off on a 67.
Being the 49-52 Chevy fan that I am, I think this is the most beautiful car I have ever seen and if I win the lotto anytime soon I will try to buy it.
i want a '56 buick with a monster hemi in it, some hilborn stacks, primer, flames, whitewalls, all the goods. An old front engine dragster or the wilkshire shaker from hot rod magazine kick *** too.
