Probably won't be down until next year sometime, but I'd like to get a look at that A you're building.....

Two Donovans running about 450ci each, blown on methanol. We pitted just down from them at Speed Week this year so I was able to wander down & see the car when I wasn't running. An amazing piece of work, as are all of the fast streamliners.

The landracing.com site is for people interested in land speed racing. They had great coverage of the private meet last week where this took place.

    World Finals coming up soon.

And not to hijack this but did you see that Rocky Robinson went out and Broke Chris Carr's motorcycle record also? it's an interesting story because Carr had set the record driving (riding?) for Dennis Manning who Rocky used to ride for! New record 580.833kph, 360.93 mph, about 10 mph over old record.

And as a person who races bikes at Bonneville & El Mirage, it is disheartening to hear that last weekend we lost another racer, this time at the Maxton Mile. Dave Owen p***ed after an incident on Sat. Along with the loss of Cliff Gullet at BUB earlier this month and a few drivers/riders suffering some substantial injuries this year, it reminds one of how close to the edge we race every time out there.

To see the Burkland's streamliner tear across the salt, you always pray everything will ok and they can continue their quest for speed.
