I've got a Sun tach model OE-6 that is missing a needle(and maybe more). Auto Tech in Tucson wouldn't even look at it, and they were jerks about it. TJs speedometer said he couldn't do anything without another unit for parts-the part the needle sits on is loose. This tach is from a 64-66 chevy pickup.

Does anyone in AZ work on these things? If not, who does?

one other to try would be dicks speedo tach in Phx. They also may need the parts. They are worth a phone call.

I have not used them yet but have something I am thinking of sending there way for work. They might be able to help you.

There is also an Alliance vendor that works on old electronics you might want to check with.

You can also try Mo-Ma in Alburquerque. 505-766-6661. See what they say. Been around a long time repairing collector car gauges. I have uesed them to reapirold Lucas, convert old Lucas to modern electric tachs, gauges etc.

BTTT. Anyone deal with Instrument specialties out of Oxford MA? It's the best customer service I've had so far.

There is also Williamson's Instrument Service and Palo Alto Speedometer. Both will show up when you do a search with just their names.

I'd be happy to look at it for you no problem. Can you bring it over this week? I'm pretty crafty with intricate mechanisms like this and have repaired several speedos, gauges, etc...

I don't really know what you have going on there, is it just the needle loose on the shaft, or are parts missing?

I'm NW side, and housebound til Wednesday, but we can see whats in the shop

    Gimme a PM

There are two Dicks locations. The one in Tempe is the one to go to the old original one sold out and are clueless on repair work are have a crappy attitude to go along with it.
