Sorry I ain't got nothin' in the way of action shots. I had to keep one hand on the wheel and the other on my sodie-pop.

    Consider this punishment if you're a dial-upper.

That bin was pretty shaky. At first I thought it was DTs, but then I remembered that I don't drink. Well, let's say I don't drink that much. Okay, I don't drink that much that early in the morning. (the DTs started monday).

FWIW, the Swindlers have been trying to uninvite me for the past three years but I seem to find out when it's happening. This year they sent me on a snipe hunt in Enumclaw. They said there was a car like Speed Buggy down there. But I'm too clever for them (I hung out at the tavern every weekend morning for the past two months).

But I wouldn't think of going ever again. It just seems to get worse every year. The succulent slow-cooked barbecue was terrible--we didn't even have to wait 15 minutes to get our food! Nobody got hopelessly lost this year. No catastrophic roadside failures. What fun is that? And for god's sake the sun got in my eyes! This would be a much better event if it happened in November. All in all it was just a bad time and nobody enjoyed themselves. At all. Period. The only redeeming part of the whole event was the karaoke at the tavern that night.

I have never seen anyone run so fast to be at the front of the food line! Thanks for leaving some food for the rest of us!

By the USA Track & Field definition, race walking is a progression of steps so taken that the walker makes contact with the ground so that no visible (to the human eye) loss of contact occurs.

So by that definition I did not run. I walked...I just walked in a very odd fashion and faster than you did.

And I wasn't first; Buffalo was.

I need to get out of working weekends, I'm missing out on too much! I ran across a couple links to some Swindler Poker run pics from the past couple years as well as some video footage of this years event.

My hat is off to Sam and the rest of the Swindlers for hosting an incredible day of cruisin, people meeting, and just having a plain 'ol good time! Being from Canada, the only "swinging of arms" I saw were the many handshakes I got, and gave, between friends and newly met fellow enthusiast's. I'd have to say it would be hard to top your Poker Run. Thanks again for having us! - Dave

The car on the right is Gearheadforevers killer hardopped '40 Merc. Having those two awsome Mercs parked like that are the ultimate "bookends". Both had '50 Lincoln taillights, earlier Lincoln push****ons, great chops, and shared the green paint scheme.
