I finished my floor grid and added the shifter boot pod then started making floor pans, the toe pans and the pass side front floor are all welded in, the other panels are all made and fitted except the hump needs fitting still. I also have to make the piece that goes over the bell housing.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  2. Got 1/2 way through a 6" chop on a 54 International. Will finish up this next weekend.

  3. changed some poopie diapers...I'd post pics but.....

  4. My 12 year old helped me cut the front end off of a 36 Chevy sedan in a ravine as well as collecting some trim from other cars there. As a reward we went to the hotel and shot some pool. After that I let him drive the truck around up at the local town yard and transfer station! He was stoked as it was the first time I let him drive while not on my knee.I sat on the passenger side and told him what to do.He,s a natural!

Built a cart so that I can move the body around the garage. I used 4" x 4" wood with casters. Built to ride height.....for no apparent reason.

Worked really slowly around the shop, waiting for the meds to wash out of my system.

I got the wheels replaced on my shop charger (3 hours)
Sat down and made some plans for the next 3-5 weeks off work
    Napped.
Ran errands with my brother, we had a great week together!

  13. I was lazy. Changed (and fixed) the carb, made a new fuel line, fixed the brake lights, fixed one of the tranny leaks, bled and leak tested the cooling system (which is crazy and goes through the carb base plate), made a throttle linkage, hacked the shifter linkage back together, routed wires, installed speedo cable, tuned the engine, adjusted the hood, and a few other miscelaneous things on my fordtruck. Spent most of Sunday at U-pull it pulling truck parts and Lincoln parts. Found a sweet 64 T-bird, which the door handles with wings apear to fit the truck with maybe just linkage mods. more than a dozen trucks the same body style this weekend, and still no grille :-( Maybe if the grille on the T-bird is still there when I make it back, it'll end up on the truck.

Oh yeah, and studied for a Physics exam and a Chemistry exam.
Just another slow weekend around here - still have't touched the hot rod. Prolly get to it quicker if I quit getting goofy ideas on the truck.

I made a set of V-Jaws for the vise too, but haven't taken any pictures of them installed yet.

It'll notch from 1" up to 2" at any angle I choose to set the compound at.

  15. I need you to come clean my lathe. Mine is all covered in metal and oil, lol.

  16. Spent the weekend with my Dad who was visiting from Indiana and we built some cool stuff for my 7 year old twin boys...we hung out and laughed and got covered in sawdust...then I dusted all of the sawdust off the Rivi and was going to take him for a cruise and alas the crappy fuel pump on it finally gave out...so much for that idea...so we made about 9 racks of ribs and had some friends over and drank some Pacificos and told some lies...all in all it was a great weekend...now he is on his way back to Indiana and me and the family are bummed...

  21. I finally swapped out my rear end with my new 87 camaro disc brake one :D Fit's like a glove! Then I decided to drag it out to it's first show. Yeah, I know it's still on the trailer, but it's still only a body and chassis. She was just beggin' for some SUN :) Oh, and I just finished my newly refurbished steering wheel last week.

I'm happy because this way it doesn't required the fenders be on to run.
