I recently scored a set of 32 ford wishbones so i can loose the four bar off the front of my coupe..... thank god. I have a 32 axle that is droped arouund 4 inches. It looks like my stering rod off of my vega box and my tie rod may hit???? I really dont want to cut or bend the bones. any sugestions????? also Im looking for a set of rear wishbones off of a 35 or 36 ford?????

  2. are you using the vega box in a side steer or cross steer? i can't visualize the problem...can you post some pictures? what will the tie rod and drag link hit? each other , or the wishbone? or what? are you using the bones split or unsplit?

how does this relate to your wishbone swap?

ie; same axle, spring and spindles?

You'll need to heat and bend down ("drop") the steering arms at the spindles, if you have stock Ford spindles.

Or purchase some "Dropped Steering Arms" from the likes of Deuce Factory or Pete and Jakes, etc. if you have aftermarket spindles.

[IMG]This will locate the Deag link and Tie rod below the 'Bones. [IMG]

I have '33 split bones on my ch***is and I had to heat and bend my spindles to allow clearance for the drag link and spindle arms. 36-3window helped me with this modification, so any tech help ya need, he is the guy. Lata, Matt
