Not to be out done by the rolling blokes of the UK, the rolling "bones" got their part one up on their web site too. Great pictures!! great story!! Check it out. rollingboneshotrodshop.com
Nice one Paul! (I won't say "mate" being as we haven't met and all) I only saw John for a couple of minutes since he got back to SA, but he had some awesome pics and sounds like a bunch of great stories to tell about the trip. Looking forward to the next installment! Barry
Get off the Hamb and get to work on that coupe! Those old farts are still ripping on you, hahaaa. Glad you guys all had fun, get that coupe done! See you in Hershey.
Paul, Thanks for putting your trip down for us all to enjoy. It was good meeting you in Des Moines (that's my green A PU). Be sure to let us know the next time you roll thru town.
It was good meeting you also. I believe that was the night I rolled in with a borrowed left front wheel. I lost a hunk of tread somewhere between Davenport and Des Moines. Will definatly post the schedule next year.
BTTT Since I posted this yesterday, there is another update on the site...more pictures and much more narrative. Pretty funny stuff. I found myself laughing and I was there...
Thanks Paul for the heads-up......"How to have a blast with HOT RODS". Looking forward to part III in early Oct. It's interesting to see that the most hard core, friendliest and down to earth bunch HOT RODDERS in the world share my opinion on the nicest looking, but most useless tires in the world. I too would like some HOT ROD tires with a speed rating higher than 55.........what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Dennis
My fun with the Rolling Bones continues this weekend. My wife and I are meeting up with them and about 30 more for the annual Rolling Bones Reliability Run in Torrengton CT. Two days of some what civilized hot rodding. For this run, I've installed some non-coker 6:00-16 front tires. They are perfect nos dayton tire co nylon tires that had been stored in a cool, dark and dry place for many years. No cracks and the rubber is nice and soft. The car looks a little taller in front, but looks more like 1940 than before. Look for part III and then a report from the run will follow.
hey paul, great writeup, quite the adventure, just wondering though. are you sure that was a women modeling? wouldnt that be a hoot.
The pics that can't be shown, pretty much dispell your theory. Not that I've seen them, but I overheard someone talking about it. LOL
I've seen them and I had to dictate this message to my secretary so she could type it for me. My eye's are still in recovery.
As Kens says you couldnt make the stuff up, it was by far the most "interesting trip" Ive made with the *****s............and as for those photo's, well I took 'em but was clever enough not to use my own camera!!!
I was laughing my *** off as well Paul..and Bobby, you don't want to see the other pics..then again, I don't know you very well..HAHAHAHAHAHA
