It looks like jesse james car but hell I don't know. I thought it was painted now.

  3. naw, it looks like a bit of a copy but jj's car has a bit more of a chop and a lexan rear window, the rear gl*** in this car is freakin cool being stock, the bumper guard on this one is a 53 not a 54 like jesses, not to mention the exhaust exiting the bumper on jj's, and this has rounded hood corners, id have to asume its a different custom..

The more 54 chevy's I see, the more I want one. That one in particular is really nice, especially the back gl***.

That IS a very nice looking car, with an equally impressive chop.

  6. speaking on NICE chevy customs.... i spotted a real bad*** one in the latest rod and kulture mag at the jalopy showdown with a sick chop and some wild mods and bodywork so smooth it made my mind melt. must be a lucky ****er who owns that thing.

It is a nice ride and the top was moved forward like it should be but I think the gl*** looks to big. Maybe I'm just use to seeing the rear gl*** being cut on a my favorite 54 chops. to each his own.

it looks like a car that i saw at back to the 50's last year the guy who had it though was von ryan i don't think he is on the HAMB. The chop looks right but his license plate had his name on it.

  18. i see what your saying about the roof moving forward, like the package tray was shrunk and the the panel between the trunklid and rear window was lengthened, i like that but to a certain extent, if the top comes down too much then stretching that panel looks weird to me, thats why id like to know how far it was chopped

as for the rear gl*** i agree, but using a stock window is a nice alternative to having a custom made gl*** window to fit a chopped opening for aprox $1500 (the best quote i could find for a custom curved laminate window) if you must keep the big back gl***

ive often thought about searching for a windshield out of some older car that might have similar shape to use for a back window on a chop like this, so it can be cut down and fit... anyone have any luck with something like this?

shoebox back window flipped upside down is a killer alternative to the stock back window when these cars are chopped

  21. i agree... or the tried and true salinas style early 50 pontiac window...

ive been hoping to do a big old wide back window though... still trying to figure the best plan of attack

i have seen it dropped down but cutting it you might as well get 3 back windows and start practicing :)

That car is from Salinas, Ca owned by a guy named Omar..
Chopped, bagged, bodywork and painted (he wants to give it shiny paint soon) by a young guy named Freddy at Nor Cal Kustoms here in Salinas.. Freddy has a good I and is learning real fast.. he likes to work on old cars and is helping Nor Cal Kustoms do more than just bag trucks... I'll see if I can talk to him tomorrow and get more info...

    here's more of their work..
