Yo, Long time lurker, new member from Chicago. Currently have a 55 Bel-Air hardtop that I am slowly making into a cool driver (along with a few motorsickles). Had it for about three years so far, and have no plans on selling it. I have other cars in the past, but a teal & white 55 hardtop has always been my dream car. Also one of the three founding members of Half Fast Chicago (check out the link below): http://www.halffastchicago.com So far the car has been lowered (adj. coil over’s up front and 2’’ blocks in rear), 57’’ Caddy caps on BFG whitewalls, full MSD ign. system, Lokar floor shifter, and other little bits. Eventually would like to car to be bagged and body dropped but cant get myself to gut the car up too bad. The car is a driver. Thing cruises 75-80mph on highway all day long, and has enough power (barely) to leave bias ply smoke around corners. Winter plans call for either a LS1 or ZZ430.. Look forward to being an active member of the board… - Joe
Welcome, checked out your site (HalfFastChicago). I like the stance of your 55. I'm thinking about lowering mine back down. This site is addicting.
Thanks for checking out our site. The three guys that started Half Fast (me being one of them) were all in clubs before, and wanted to do something where it didnt matter what you drove (or ride), as long as you actually enjoy it (and not just stare at it in a garage). I lowered my 55 with QA1 adj. coil overs up front and 2'' blocks in the back.
