Are there any body shape differences between a 1949 Chevy coupe and and a 1950 ? As far as I cant tell I cant see any, but I might be missing something.
yes,as far as i know ,cosmetically 49-50 are the same other than a slightly different grille,,,,,, on 50-52 the entire quarter panels, dash, tail lights skirts and grilles are totally different.
The bodies are the same. The grill as said already and yes the tail light lenses (the tail light bezels are the same). The truck handle and the hood ornament are different.
The body is the same #1 The trunk handle and trunk emblem are different. #2 The 1949 grill has a row of teeth to it vs. the 1950 has one on each end #3 Inside the car the chrome trim on the door panels is different. #4 For both years there are the Styleline Special models (the plain jane) and the Styleline Deluxe (which has the stainless trim on it). Also, at the same time they made coupes they also made 2 door sedans which had bigger 1/4 windows and the shorter trunk (aka deck) lid.
yeah... what they said. same body with different emblems and trim. 49's get the cool front license guard. I like them so much I'm putting one on the back too.
