Im in Toronto for a week, anyone have some cool projects to show and have a beer? I will need a car fix soon!!!! I'll check back if you private email with phone number, Id love to get together with a few fellow Canadian hambers.
What time is the swap meet that the roadmates are putting on at the Applewood plaza?? All day? Just getting up from the first good nights sleep in 4 days!!!Its 11:20 AM. took the train from seattle!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Im flying back!!
I have to see some cars though!!! Its been 5 days and I saw a couple old rusty 20s 30s cars in the fields in Montana which was cool but its far from hotrods. Transport is sort of tough also as Im right downtown with some friends that are not really into cars as much as I am. Swap meet sounds cool also. I also like shooting pool.
Going to Scotland Ontario tomorrow to look up dead people.(Wifes into geneology). After Sunday I will have free time to do what ever. Would love to see some hotrods in progress and shoot the ****. Also like i said, pool is way up there for me in the entertainment.<!-- / message --><!-- edit note -->
Our (Roadmates) swap meeting is tomorrow morning. Usually gets going by 7:30am. It's easy to find. I'll PM you with directions.
Well I have to say a big thanks to the wifey for letting me hang with the Roadmates today as we had plans to go to Scotland Ontario today. Our friends ropped me off at the Applewood Plaza and I was in heaven at last to see car parts galour. I bought 10 license plates from the 20s and 30s and bought an old stop light with "STOP" in gl*** which will find its new home on the Whippet. I met up with Al Cook from the Roadmates and he was great to talk with and intoduced me to a few members at the swap meet. Bill ???? was introduced to me and then bought doughnuts and coffee for me at Tim Hortons which was much appreciated!!!!! Then I was invited to the Roadmates Clubhouse which they have had since 1959 and have shared the space to work on all their rods. What a cool place!!!! Lots of history in those 4 walls. Al had to get going after a while and Don McCartney took me under his wing for the next 3 hours and was filling me up with beer. So I have to thank Al, the friendly guy that was the first responder on the internet "THANKS AL". Then a personal thanks to Bill ??? for the hand delivered coffee and doughnuts. I sure needed those!!! THANKS BILL!!!! Then Don the beer man!!!!! Don you will not be forgotten!!! There were about 15 members at the clubhouse but after a few beer, I couldnt remember names. Thanks for the great day fellow hotrod mates!!!!!! Pictures will follow.
