Spain...hot rod scene or spam???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Clark, Sep 23, 2008.

  1. If it makes you feel any better, I sold my Riviera to a guy with a USA registration address but he was from, and the car went to Holland...

Overseas bidders are very common, and for the most part legitimate. We only hear the hooror stories and scams, 'cuz it makes for interesting reading

Paid me with green American dollars...and that's all that mattters!

Ugh that ****s. Especially cause ebay doesn't really wanna hear about it, they just want their fees. What a friggin joke. They have no problem collecting the fees from the seller, but any sort of process that would screen high dollar purchase buyers, out of the question.

    Best of luck man.

Hi, I'm from Spain (Barcelona) and member of Templars C.C.
There are some good cars here and a few real hotrodder working and building cars, also three good car clubs Razzlers, Royals and Templars with good traditional rods and kustoms, all near Barcelona, take a look at the myspaces.

Also some car shows, and rockabilly festivals.

Clark, that ****s, people like that make difficult to us, serious car people from overseas, to get cars, I hope you could solve the problems with the bidder, but not everyone is like that guy, lots of my friend bought their cars on ebay without problems. Good luck with the car

Hey Django, some of my club pals and me was at the Ubangi Stomp last year, but it is far from Barcelona, and there is no place to leave the cars because everything is inside the hotel, so we decide to go without the cars. There are some good other festivals like High Rockabilly or Screamin' where we all go with the cars, if you are planing to come back and you need information let me know.
    Cheers.
