Everyone, this is my first "offical" post to the HAMB....Ive wanted to post this for a while, so here we go..
I got this 53' Chevy 210 post last year and started chopping it in January and finished it in April. It was my first one, and im pretty happy with it. I took 5 inches out of the A pillars and in the rear...there's no telling!! Probobly about 7 or 8. Im not into "extreem" chops, but i just kept cutting until i got the lines i wanted. My main concern was not having the crown in the rear of the roof that gives it that waterfall look. I eliminated the wrap around window, and used a 48 chevy fleetline rear window, and i think it looks bitchn'. I did a bunch of other stuff too ("C" notched it, tons of body work, lowered it, peaked the hood, shaved everything, Ect). Anyway, i like it and i hope you do too.....Thanks everyone for looking!

Right now i cant decide on paint....ill probobly do a two tone, flat something on the body and let my boy "HotDog" Pete to paint the roof metalflake with panels and leaf and all sorts of cool shit...he painted my chopper and its unreal....i might gloss the body though, im sick of flat cars, no one finishes their cars anymore and it pisses me off!!!!

Looks great. Nice job on the chop. How did you peak the hood? I'm looking for ideas for that on my '50 hood.

if your sick of flat then why do flat on the bottom? do the whole car in a nice glossy color, a dark blue would look awesome!!

Great job. When you said 7 or 8 out of the back, I was expecting it to look too flat, but the lines are great. I'm glad you slanted the door posts instead of keeping them straight. It adds to the flow of the car. Nice job!

Kickass! Thats what sucks sooo much about extreme chops, you have to replace damn near half the roof cuz nothing lines back up! You tackled it well. Whatcha going to do about that front end now? :D

Your chop looks great I used a fleetline rear window on my 53 210 also did you have to remove some of the crown in the window to make it flatter? I had to with mine I only took 3.75 inches out of the front and lowered the back until it looked right. Once again it looks perfect and flows great

  19. damn that looks good...have to check that out in person sometime...my first car was a 54 chevy and I always wanted to do a chop like that...man you nailed it on that one...super nice profile
